My experience at Johnsons Hyundai Liverpool could have been better because I am writing to express my concern and disappointment regarding the recent service carried out on my vehicle at Hyundai Johnson.

On the day of the service, the mileage on my car was approximately 37,000 miles. However, the service certificate incorrectly shows 59,400 miles. Just one week earlier, you performed the MOT on my vehicle and correctly recorded the mileage at around 37,000 miles. Two weeks later, during the service, the mileage was recorded incorrectly.

I immediately raised this issue with your reception team while my car was still on-site. Unfortunately, I was told that the mileage could not be corrected. I called again later and was reassured that I would receive a record showing the correct mileage. However, when I received the record, the error remained.

This mistake is extremely serious. If I decide to sell my car, this incorrect mileage will cast doubt on the vehicle’s history and significantly reduce its value. It is essential that the service records reflect the true mileage of 37,000 miles, as already confirmed by the MOT certificate.

Additionally, since collecting my car from the service, my sat-nav has stopped working. This issue began immediately after the service and needs to be addressed as well.

I kindly request that you:

1. Amend the service record to show the correct mileage of approximately 37,000 miles, matching the MOT record.


2. Investigate and repair the sat-nav issue that occurred after the service.



For reference, I can provide photographic evidence of both the MOT certificate (with the correct mileage) and the service record (with the incorrect mileage).

Finally, I would like to note that your manager, Andy, has been very polite and helpful in my previous interactions. I trust that he and your team will be able to resolve this matter promptly.
